Carnival Cruise Line was founded in 1972 and is a wholly owned subsidiary of Carnival Corporation & plc.
Carnival Cruise Line has 29 ships as of May 2025, and 5 new ones are scheduled to be delivered between 2027 and 2033.

The biggest cruise ships in the Carnival fleet include Carnival Jubilee, with a gross tonnage of 183,521. It is 344 m long and can accommodate 6600 guests in 2687 staterooms. The ship entered service in 2023 and is part of the Excel-class. It is homeported in Galveston, Texas and is known for having the fleet’s largest rollercoaster at sea, the BOLT.
Carnival Celebration is another famous vessel homeported in Miami, Florida. It also belongs to the Excel-class and features 6 distinct guest zones, and other entertainment, recreational and dining areas like the Ultimate Playground, Bonsai Teppanyaki, RedFrog Tiki Bar, and Family Feud Live.
Carnival Mardi Gras was the first Excel-class ship which entered service in 2021. It is powered by LNG and is known for Themed Neighbourhoods, Water Works, Sky Ride, Serenity-Adult Only Retreat and much more, making it a top choice among families.
Carnival Luminosa can accommodate 2286 guests and offers entertainment options like the Punchliner Comedy Club, Playlist Productions, and the Supernova Bar. It has a traditional dining room and other options like the Bonsai Sushi Express and the RedFrog Rum Bar. It was built for Costa Cruises and then transferred to Carnival and is the largest of the Spirit Class Ships in the Carnival fleet.
Carnival Miracle is part of the Spirit Class and entered service in 2004. It was refurbished with modern amenities such as WaterWorks and Guy’s Burger Joint, and is also a popular choice among American travellers. It has a gross tonnage of 88,500 and can accommodate 2680 people.
Carnival offers cruises to highly sought destinations like the Caribbean, which remains the top choice of U.S cruise travellers.
