Eureka Naval Craft, a U.S based maritime and defence company, revealed what it calls ‘the most advanced naval attack ship ever designed in the world’.

They achieved this with the contribution of ESNA Naval Architects and Greenroom Robotics.

The ship is named AIRCAT Bengal MC (“Module Carrier”), and is a 36m multi-mission Surface Effect Ship (SES).

The company has claimed that it is the first ship of its kind, which can accommodate a 44 ton payload with a top speed of over 50 knots, depending on the payload and a range of 1000 nm.

The ship can be bought by navies around the world, especially being offered to the US Navy, Marine Corps and allies of the United States, including NATO and AUKUS nations, Japan, Singapore, South Korea, Vietnam, the Philippines and Thailand.

The ship has many features which make it better than those available in the market at present. Firstly, it can sail with or without a crew, can launch Tomahawk cruise missiles, and anti-ship naval strike missiles.

This means that navies do not have to risk the lives of sailors and damage to bigger and costlier warships like aircraft carriers, destroyers or even frigates for the same tasks.

The vessel consumes less fuel and has low operational costs, making it the best option for navies looking to expand their fleets under tight budgets without compromising on tech and capabilities.

The best thing about the vessel is that it can be customised for many tasks. It can transport troops, function as a landing craft and even a drone mothership or even for mine laying and counter-mine warfare.

It is said to possess one of the most advanced navigation systems in the world, according to Greenroom Robotics.

The vessel is equipped with the Greenroom Advanced Maritime Autonomy (GAMA) Software system, which Greenroom has spent years developing.

The system had been successfully tested on a decommissioned patrol ship, the Sentinel,

The AIRCAT Bengal MC is set to become a part of Eureka’s AIRCAT vessel fleet, which also includes the Bengal, Jaguar, Panther and Lynx, each made for specific missions, ranging from fast attack, rescue, surveillance, troop transport and unmanned logistics.

Clients can customise the vessel to meet their operational requirements, stated the company.
