The world’s largest wooden tall ship has docked in a Norfolk town. The SV Tenacious arrived at Great Yarmouth Port on the afternoon of September 2. It has berthed at South Quay, where it has become a local attraction.

SV Tenacious is the largest wooden tall ship in the world, constructed in Great Britain in over a century. It came to the port last year as well and took some people on a trip to Portland.

What makes it different from other vessels apart from its size are its unique features and amenities.

Operated by Jubilee Sailing Trust, it is the only tall ship in the world with a mixed-ability crew comprising able-bodied people and those with various impairments, disabilities and other health conditions.

The 65 m long ship has wheelchair lifts, ascender systems, a speaking compass, hearing loops, adjustable furniture for those with limited mobility and a joystick to steer the vessel.

She was named by Jacquetta Cator, who, with her husband, sailed on the ship’s maiden voyage in 2000.

In this video, the ship has been filmed from above during its week-long stay in the town.
