The International WorkBoat Show’s all-electric ferry, on display at Booth 1409, demonstrates BMT’s commitment to tackling environmental issues in the marine sector.

With a capacity of 500 passengers and four crew members, the ship can accommodate the growing demand for hybrid or all-electric ferry possibilities.

Visitors to the booth can interact with industry experts and BMT’s Principal Naval Architect, James Calver while perusing a comprehensive 3D-developed vessel model.

The lightweight yet sturdy aluminium structure and low wake hull with an easy-to-assemble design are two of the newly unveiled all-electric ferry’s key features.

With a range of one hour at 18 knots or forty minutes at a top speed of 20 knots, the vessel is an excellent option for carrying more passengers along coastal and restricted service routes due to its impressive capabilities.

Acknowledged for its partnerships with top shipyards worldwide, BMT highlights its team’s skills in hybrid ship design, especially regarding future and alternative fuels.

The company wants to make a big difference in the world by being the first to achieve net-zero emissions and to solve global issues like noise, traffic, and air pollution.

BMT’s ability to design highly optimised vessels is demonstrated by its track record of successfully delivering over 300 vessels currently operating worldwide. The company is also known for its commitment to superior seakeeping in various weather conditions.

BMT serves shipyards, vessel owners, and operators globally by offering specialist vessel design services as an independent design specialist.

Its committed staff of engineers, naval architects, 3D modellers, and project managers uses the most advanced software to guarantee the best possible engineering accomplishments.
