“Black Gold” Discovered From 4000-Year-Old Shipwreck In Italy
Oceans are enormous bodies of water with a lot of unresolved mysteries. In the water, a great number of ships have sunk and wrecked. Occasionally, in their search for the wreckage, the marine team and researchers discover numerous articles that belonged to individuals who were on board.
In a few instances, people have also discovered rare jewellery and items that were sold for millions of dollars at auctions. A 400-year-old vessel has recently been discovered in Italy. Reportedly, black gold, or obsidian, is a rare stone that was discovered with the sunken ship.
The underwater unit of the Naples police in Italy reportedly discovered a sunken ship 130 feet below the surface of the water. The ship was off the coast of Grotto, Capri, Italy, close to the Bianca sea cave. The vessel was discovered with volcanic glass with a purple-black hue known as obsidian gold.
Additionally, it has been discovered that the artefact weighs about 17.6 pounds and has the appearance of a thick book. The stone’s surface boasts marks from chiselling, indicating that it was once employed as an obsidian core — a device that produced flakes with sharp edges for cutting. It is regarded as a rare good, and the discovery of the special stone has shocked the experts as well. On November 20 of the current year, the hunt for the sunken ship and the special stone began.
Experts claim that obsidian is a fantastic and unusual stone that has been used for a very long time to manufacture cutting instruments. It is frequently referred to as the Stone Age’s “black gold.” Lava freezes quite quickly, creating obsidian. It is considered a protective gemstone and has a homogeneous, smooth feel. This stone is supposed to have the power to attract, stop, and change bad energy.
In the stone market, it is highly favoured and regarded as costly. In addition, archaeologists want to locate the Spanish vessel San Jose Galleon, which sunk in the Caribbean Sea in 1708 amid combat with the British Navy. There are rumors that the ship is carrying $16 billion in rare treasure.
