Strong seas impacted four U.S. Army vessels supporting the maritime humanitarian aid mission in Gaza, according to the US Central Command.

Centcom mentioned in a statement that no injuries were reported and that the pier continues to be fully operational.

It further mentioned that no U.S. personnel would be entering Gaza.

The vessels broke free from the moorings on Saturday.

Two are currently anchored on the beach close to the pier, while the third and fourth are beached on the Israel coast near Ashkelon.

Efforts are being made to recover the vessels with the help of the Israeli Navy.

Gaza is suffering through its most cruel war ever, which broke out after Hamas’s October 7 attack on Israel resulted in the loss of lives of more than 1,170 individuals, mostly civilians, per official figures.
