Authorities mentioned that two cargo vessels ran into a collision off the Island of Chios in Greece, close to the coast of Turkey on Friday.
The cargo vessel dubbed Potentia (flying the flag of Singapore) with 19 crew members and a Vanuatu-flagged ship dubbed ANT with 13 crew members collided nine miles toward the north of Chios in the eastern Aegean Sea.

There are no reported injuries, and there is zero risk of pollution, a coast guard official informed Reuters, further adding that the vessels were not carrying cargo.
It was not clear immediately what the cause of the collision was. Relevant Greek authorities have reportedly deployed seven vessels and a reliable search and rescue helicopter to the site.
