Scudieri is the president of Adler-Hp Pelzer Group, a supplier of automotive parts with a net worth of $500m.
The 43.7 m Aria SF caught fire on the afternoon of Thursday while being anchored at Cala Saona, on the western shores of Formentera, per Spanish rescue and search agency Salvamento Maritimo.
The 7 crew and 9 guests onboard the yacht were safely evacuated to other boats; however the superyacht cannot be salvaged. It will be towed to Ibiza on Friday while the cause of the fire remains unknown.
The luxurious yacht had a gym, a pool and could accommodate 10 guests in its 5 staterooms. Scudieri had a special suite built for himself on the main deck with a private lounge having a skylight, a terrace and access to the outer lounge through a private staircase.
