Watch: Indonesian Ferry KMP NUSA PENIDA Caught On Fire

KMP NUSA PENIDA, a passenger and RORO carrier caught fire on the afternoon of 16th July. The raging flames continued for hours but luckily all the crew escaped to the pier through the lowered ramp.

The fire started when the Indonesian-flagged vessel was berthed at the Dukuh Raya port, West Lombok, Indonesia. The vessel was empty and undergoing repairs and inspection when the incident took place. No injuries were reported.

The 649-tonne ferry constructed in 1983 was ravaged by the fire which continued unabated for many hours.
