Kongsberg Maritime has secured contracts with China Merchant Heavy Industries (CMHI) to design and equip two construction service operation vessels (CSOV) for the Norway-based shipowner Awind AS, a fully-owned subsidiary of Integrated Wind Solutions AS.

SunStone’s new expedition cruise vessel, the ‘Ocean Explorer’ has been launched at the CMHI shipyard, China, on Wednesday 12 August 2020. The ship is number four in the INFINITY class of X-BOW expedition ships, all designed by Ulstein.
CMHI has ordered 6 × MAN 12V32/44CR main engines in connection with the building of a new 5,000-tonne floating installation crane vessel – already christened ‘Les Alizés’ – for Jan De Nul Group.
Classification society DNV GL has presented CMHI with AiP certificates for two new offshore units: an arctic single column drilling unit and a wind turbine shuttle.
