  4. Navy Arrest 13 Suspected Oil Thieves in Ondo

    The Nigeria Navy Beecroft after a tip-off have arrested Mt. Vassilos XXI with its crew on board after they were caught in Ondo on 18th December, 2020. Upon boarding the vessel, it was discovered that they were laden with crude oil; and it was also observed that the Automatic Identification System (AIS) of the vessel was switched off. They have been handed over to the authorities for further investigation and prosecution.
