A Barge is one of the simplest floating vessels that can carry massive cargo volumes in a single trip. They are usually towed by a tugboat, as they lack a propulsion system. Barges sail in rivers, canals, and inland waterways, since they cannot ply in open waters due to their hull construction and design, which cannot withstand the harsh conditions of the open seas and oceans.

Types of Barges

Crane barge
