USS Gerald R Ford May Be Used To Kill Palestinians & Destroy Gaza, Warns Turkish President

Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Turkey’s President, has strongly criticized Israel’s siege of Gaza, claiming that depriving Palestinians of electricity and water violates their basic rights.

On Tuesday, Erdogan blasted US plans to send an aircraft carrier to the region during a joint news conference with Karl Nehammer, the Austrian Chancellor, claiming the deployment could result in “massacres.”

He raised pertinent questions on what the US aircraft carrier was trying to do in Israel. He said it would take down Gaza by striking surrounding areas and committing massacres.

The Turkish leader restated his offer to intervene between the parties and said he would keep working to stop the war. He also stated that he would meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin and Antonio Guterres, the secretary-general of the UN, later on Tuesday.
