  1. What is the reasoning behind the SOLAS hose length requirement in engine rooms of ships to be not less than 10m & more than 15m in length? I keep finding it during shipping audits & then get asked the reasoning/history behind this requirement and I would like to be able to answer this question when it is posed to me!
