Photo of the Day: Tropical Revolving Storm (TRS) Ahead

Here’s our photo of the day taken by Chief Officer Kyle Marks.

The photograph was taken by him while working onboard the AHTS vessel Far Sky belonging to Farstad Shipping. The Jack Up rig visible at a distance on the left is Ensco 104. The rig was located in the North West of Australia off the coast of Dampier.

Several hours before this picture was taken, a cyclone warning was issued to the vessel. The photograph depicts the approaching Tropical Revolving Storm (TRS).

The photograph was taken using an iPhone 4S.

Kyle Marks is a Chief Officer working for Farstad Shipping, Australia on various types of offshore vessels. He’s presently studying for his Bachelors Degree in Applied Science (Nautical Science) at the AMC in Launceston and also preparing for Chief Mate Unlimited and Master <3000GT.
