Subject to increasing regulatory approvals, the two firms plan on generating synergies by merging Alpha Ori Technologies’ specialisation in IoT sensors and high-frequency data and the multi-service tech platform of ZeroNorth to create sustainability solutions for the shipping industry.

The deal will permit the two firms to serve the customer bases via a single offering and build a powerful data ecosystem on one platform with multiple services in the market.

The firm strives to operate under ZeroNorth, and Søren Meyer, the current CEO of ZeroNorth, will be at the helm of this joint set-up.

AOT’s Co-CEOs, Rajesh Unni and Bala Sankaran, will be the non-executive board members of this joint business.

The proposed partners supply next-gen tech to over 4,000 vessels trading worldwide.

The deal is going to enable its customers to access 12 types of services using a single platform and a data source.

This is going to help advance policy efforts and industry developments across the trade value chain.

ZeroNorth is going to interconnect data, offering insights, analysis, and collection that will further enhance quality as well as compliance for the customers.

By achieving improved operational efficiencies and increasing reliability, the customers are also going to benefit from enhanced cost savings, increased profits, and more emissions reduction.

The joint business will continue to serve as an independent firm with financial backing and heritage from industry leaders, leveraging deep shipping knowledge to extend transformative solutions that impact the sector positively.

The firm is expected to retain its global office presence, headquartered in Copenhagen. Its combined workforce of 780 individuals, nearly one-third of whom are full-time consultants, will be working together to extend a significant impact on our planet.
