Royal Caribbean's Utopia of the Seas is nearing its debut in Port Canaveral, Florida, in July 2024.

The ship reached a significant milestone as it floated for the first time at the Chantiers de l'Atlantique shipyard in Saint-Nazaire, France.

This float-out process, a key construction phase, took 17 months to achieve and lasted nearly 15 hours, involving filling the dry dock with over 46 million gallons of water.

Utopia is now in an outfitting dock, where it will be completed by the summer of 2024.

The ship has more than 74 steel blocks assembled, and it will soon feature unique attractions like the 295-foot-long Ultimate Abyss slide and immersive train car dining.

Utopia offers over 40 dining and drinking options, numerous pools, thrills, and entertainment for friends and families to enjoy.

It will debut in July 2024, offering 3-night weekend and 4-night weekday getaways with stops in Nassau, The Bahamas, and Royal Caribbean's private island, Perfect Day at CocoCay.

Utopia will be the first Oasis Class ship powered by liquefied natural gas (LNG), aligning with Royal Caribbean's commitment to environmental sustainability.
