USS NIMITZ V/S  SHANDONG

USS Nimitz was named in honour of Fleet Admiral Chester W. Nimitz, while Shandong Aircraft Carrier is named after the Shandong province of China. Shandong was built by the Dalian Shipbuilding Industry in Dalian, Liaoning province of China, while USS Nimitz was constructed by Newport News Shipbuilding and Dry Dock Co., Virginia. USS Nimitz is powered by 2 nuclear reactors providing it with a speed of more than 31.5 knots, while Shandong also features an advanced propulsion system, allowing it to achieve a top speed of 31 knots.
