USS Milius is the 19th ship in the Arleigh Burke - class of Guided Missile Destroyers.

The ship is named for the late Captain Paul Milius, a reconnaissance pilot who was shot down during the Vietnam War.

Captain Milius's daughter, Annette, became the sponsor and later christened the ship named in honor of her father.

USS Milius is one of 21 Ballistic Missile Defense capable platforms.

USS Milius (DDG 69) returned to Yokosuka, on Dec 21, post their successful deployment in the 7th Fleet area of operations.

Milius conducted maritime operations, live-fire events, flight operations, and replenishments-at-sea.

Milius along with the Indian Navy, participated in Malabar 2022 conducting multilateral operations in surface, and air.

Sailors participated in community relations events which included volunteering at a school, during their visits.
