The World’s First Sailing RORO Ship Sets Sail!

The world’s first commercial sailing RORO ship, Neoliner Origin, has launched in Türkiye. A new era of shipping begins!

Built for Neoline, this 136m-long vessel blends modern cargo transport with wind propulsion.

With 3,000 m² of sails and 76m-high carbon masts, it harnesses wind for fuel-free voyages.

It carries 265 containers or 5,300 tonnes of cargo, proving wind power can move heavy loads.

This ship slashes carbon emissions by 90%, eliminating harmful sulphur and nitrogen oxides.

Launching this summer, it will sail between Saint-Nazaire, Baltimore, Halifax, and Saint-Pierre-et-Miquelon.

Neoliner Origin is just the start—France’s wind-powered fleet is growing fast. Is this the future of shipping?
