Russia claims to have destroyed Ukraine's last warship, the landing vessel Yuri Olefirenko.
The Defense Ministry of Russia alleges that the vessel was struck by high-precision Aerospace Forces weaponry.
The incident reportedly took place in the Black Sea port of Odessa.
Ukraine's naval forces spokesman, Oleh Chalyk, declined to comment on the claim, urging caution regarding Russian sources.
The Yuri Olefirenko is a medium-sized landing vessel used for transporting troops and vehicles.
It was originally named Kirovohrad and was renamed in 2016 in honor of a marine who died near the port of Mariupol.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky had decorated the crew of the vessel in June of the previous year.
