Israel Strikes Yemeni Ports In Retaliation For Houthi Missile Attacks
Israeli fighter jets have attacked oil facilities in Yemen’s Hodeidah and Ras Issa ports, targeting crucial infrastructure.
The strikes were in response to a series of missile attacks launched by Iran-backed Houthi rebels against Central Israel.
According to the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF), military bases and oil facilities used to transport Iranian weapons were destroyed.
The mission involved dozens of aircraft, including refuelers, fighter jets, and spy planes—flying over 1,800 km to reach the targets.
Residents in Hodeidah saw smoke rising from fuel storage tanks, and large parts of the city experienced power outages.
The strikes were a direct response to the Houthis’ missile attacks on Tel Aviv and Ben Gurion Airport last weekend.
The Houthis have fired over 220 missiles and drones at Israel over the past 11 months, escalating tensions in the region.
Iran condemned the airstrikes, accusing Israel of targeting civilian infrastructure and escalating regional instability.
