The second of eight anti-submarine warfare shallow water boats (ASW SWC) was launched at Garden Reach Shipbuilders and Engineers.

The INS Androth is a 77-meter-long vessel capable of reaching a speed of 25 knots.

The ship is designed specifically for minelaying, low-intensity maritime operations, and anti-submarine operations in coastal areas.

The vessel is equipped with lightweight torpedoes, ASW rockets, mines, and close-in weaponry systems and a stabilised remote-operated gun.

The ASW SWC is designed to conduct extensive sub-surface surveillance for different surface platforms.

The vessel is capable of conducting low-intensity maritime operations and anti-submarine operations in coastal areas.

The vessel's armament makes it capable of dealing with potential threats in its operational areas.
