The Great Blue Hole of Belize is one of the amazing natural wonders below the ocean's surface.
It is located off the coast of Belize, Central America.
It lies close to the Center of Lighthouse Reef an atoll.
It was first discovered by Jacques Cousteau in the early 1970s.
The Hole forms a perfect circle amidst the coral reef, and is also a part of the Belize Barrier Reef Reserve System, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The French explorer revealed the marvelous Blue Hole to the world through a television series called “The Undersea World of Jacques Cousteau”.
