Swadeshi Empresa conducted trials of a fighting bot for the Indian Navy on INS Vikrant under the SPRINT initiative.

The bot is designed to detect and extinguish fires using water, foam jet, or spray, ensuring the safety of individuals on board.

SPRINT stands for Supporting Pole-Vaulting in R&D through Innovations for Defence Excellence, a collaborative effort by India’s NIIO, DIO, and TDAC.

The SPRINT initiative has garnered 1106 proposals, indicating a strong interest in indigenous defense innovation.

The second edition of Swavlamban 2023, India’s NIIO Seminar, is scheduled for October 4-5, focusing on naval innovation and indigenization.

In the inaugural edition last year, PM Modi presented 75 challenges for startups/MSMEs under the 'SPRINT' initiative.

The Indian Navy aims to develop at least 75 products or technologies as part of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav through the SPRINT Challenges.

The Navy is committed to contributing to the celebration of India's 75 years of independence by fostering indigenous technological advancements.
