DNV confirms its ShipManager software was victim of a cyber-attack on the evening of Saturday 7 January.

DNV experts have shut down ShipManager’s IT servers in response to the incident.

There are no indications that any other software or data by DNV is affected.​

All users can still use the onboard, offline functionalities of the ShipManager software. ​

DNV experts are working with global IT security partners to investigate the incident and to put in place a technical recovery plan.

The ShipManager solution is sold from DNV AS, and DNV is in dialogue with the Norwegian police about the incident.

Affected customers have been informed of a 24/7 support hotline.

They apologized for the disruption and inconvenience this incident may have caused.​ ​
