A small crew was stranded at sea for six months due to storms and a lack of resources.

The Portland Missions to Seafarers provided phone cards for the crew to contact their families in the Philippines.

The crew members were able to use picture phones to see and speak with their loved ones every night.

A planned mission to deliver cattle to China was cancelled due to a crack in the vessel's hull.

The vessel was abandoned by its China-based owners, and the crew was left behind to respond to emergencies.

Approximately 20 crew members were allowed to leave the vessel, but 16 were required to stay on board.

The last remaining crew members have been given permission to leave and are excited to finally return home.

The crew members are grateful for the support and assistance provided by the Portland Missions to Seafarers.
