Watch: Vessel Bizarrely Tilts At Gujarat’s Mundra Port, Now Stabilized
In a bizarre incident, a Panama-flagged ship reportedly tilted at the Mundra international container terminal on Saturday. The vessel, dubbed Sea Xpress, had docked at the terminal and tipped further away from the port around 1 pm when unloaded. Mundra port is managed and owned by Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Limited (APSEZ).
Sources mentioned that the ship developed a list owing to more significant weight on one of the sides while containers were being unloaded.

As soon as the port authorities received the information, emergency protocols were enforced. Per SOP on preparedness, the APSEZ responded by deploying their tugs. The marine and port management specialists also rushed to the spot. The vessel was reportedly stabilized around 6 pm.
Authorities are determining the cause of the tilting. All personnel is safe. There has been no damage to the jetties or port property.
