Watch: Livestock Carrier With 14000 Sheep Capsizes Near Romania

A livestock carrier carrying more than 14000 sheep has capsized in the Black Sea off the coast of Romania.

The vessel named Queen Hind, bound for Saudi Arabia port of Jeddah, was sailing with a crew of 20 Syrians and one Lebanese.

All crew members along with 32 sheep were rescued as the rescue operation continues to save thousands of sheep trapped in the vessel.

According to Romanian reports, six vessels are helping with the emergency, along with the military, police, firefighters and Romanian Coastguard.

Several NGOs, animal activists and Romania’s main livestock breeder and exporter association have asked for an urgent investigation.

The cause of the accident is not yet known.
