Watch: Hamburg Port Railway Getting Ready For Future
The port of Hamburg has nearly 300 km of tracks and almost 800 points. For around 150 years the port railway has been the link between the ships’ handling terminals and the European rail network. Now points and signals are being replaced in an extensive maintenance operation. In addition, the signal box technology is being converted from analogue to digital.
