Watch: Fire Breaks Out In Containership Engine Room In Panama

On Monday, January 30, a fire broke out in a container ship at the entrance of the Panama Canal.

The ship in question was Cape Cortia, heading towards Balboa when the incident happened.

Panama City firefighters were summoned who quickly extinguished it, confining it only to the engine room, and no one was harmed. The 11000 TEU ship was coming from Chile. 

Later that day, at around 1650 UTC, the ship docked the Panama International Terminal, PSA.
