Video: 388-Foot Superyacht Is The Largest Vessel Launched By Abeking & Rasmussen
Abeking & Rasmussen’s most recent launch was massive in several ways.
The German yard’s gargantuan new 388-footer, which reportedly slid onto a pontoon on Sunday in Lemwerder, marks the biggest vessel constructed by the yard until now. The North American owner reportedly chose Germany’s Cornelsen & Partner to execute end-to-end project management for the gigantic build.
The work has paid off, declared André Jonker, the senior project manager associated with Abeking & Rasmussen. He added that, once again, they were able to build an exceptional yacht.
The yacht impresses with its clear and iconic design, Till von Kraus, the sales director of Abeking & Rasmussen, adds.

Ideal for ocean enthusiasts, the beautiful interior boasts a “Neptune Lounge” with a unique, expansive underwater window that can afford a cinematic view of the world under the waves. Another different viewing experience can be witnessed at the foot of the mast from the crow’s nest — whale watching. Besides, the forward sundeck has a massive marble-clad fireplace and a luxurious round sofa from which a passenger can keep taking in more ocean vistas.
A&R notes that one of the most challenging elements of the build was the construction of the giant 52-foot hatch for the tender garage port side. The team has succeeded and created a spot for a big day boat. There’s a certified helipad on the sky deck.
George Abeking and Henry Rasmussen founded A&R. in 1907. Situated on River Weser’s left bank in Lower Saxony, the shipyard comprises five production halls with associated offices and workshops. Over 115 years, A&R has been able to deliver over 100 yachts. No fleet members can match the 388-footer black beauty in size.
