A Film on Seafarers’ Fatigue: Fatigue at Sea

Seafarers’ fatigue has been one of the major factors that have led to several gruesome accidents in the past. When compared to professionals in other industries, seafarers put in exorbitant number of working hours, which has been the main reason for accidents at sea.

In order to bring this issue to limelight, Paul Allen, a Cardiff University Researcher, along with funding from ESRC, has come up with a researched report and a film which highlights the lethal potential of the fatigue faced by seafarers at sea.

The report unveils some shocking stats on the number of working hours that seafarers put in and the high level of danger they face because of the same. You can download and view the report here.
