Windea Leibniz, an SOV for the offshore wind industry, has been nominated ‘Ship of the Year 2017’ by the maritime magazine Skipsrevyen.
The ‘Windea Leibniz’ wind farm service vessel was delivered on-time from Ulstein Verft to Bernhard Schulte Offshore and ICBC Leasing on 28 February, and named at a ceremony in Ulsteinvik.
Siemens Wind Power, BS Offshore and Ulstein have received the OSJ Offshore Renewables Award 2017 for the SOV vessel ‘Windea La Cour’.
At the Offshore Wind Journal conference and the OSJ conference, 7-9 February, Ulstein will be presenting and exhibiting.

While most people celebrated New Year, the first SOV hull for Bernhard Schulte Offshore/WINDEA made its first journey from Poland to Norway. In the early morning of 3rd January it arrived at Ulstein Verft in Ulsteinvik.
The bulk carrier Harvest Frost and Ulstein’s X-Stern design took the Nor-Shipping Energy Efficiency Award and Next Generation Ship Award respectively at today’s opening conference.
