Aberdeen-based ERRV successfully completes sea trials following installation of ‘Sealift’ Rescue System
Damen Shiprepair Oranjewerf (Oranjewerf) has completed final outfitting and modifications on a second subsea-support walk-to-work (W2W) vessel for Vroon Offshore Services (VOS).
Damen Shiprepair Oranjewerf has bid farewell to VOS Start, Vroon BV’s first DP2, subsea-support, W2W vessel and the 80m VOS Start arrived at Oranjewerf on 1 June from her build yard in China.
Vroon Offshore Services is pleased to announce that VOS Prime, modern multi-role platform supply vessel holding SPS notation for 52 persons on board.
The vessel is now at Damen Shiprepair, where she will be mobilised with a motion-compensated gangway system and an active heave-compensated crane.
Together Vroon and RINA Services, dedicated rescue ship that has been classified to rescue those that run into difficulty when crossing the Mediterranean.
This journey marked the start of a cattle trade between Australia and Cambodia and was the first delivery of beef cows from the Pacific nation since Phnom Penh and Canberra finalised health protocols two years ago.
