The X-STERN solution from Ulstein was awarded the Next Generation Ship Award at the Nor-Shipping opening conference on 2 June. Innovative ship design is the main criteria in the awarding of this prize.
Time lapse video Ulstein Verft’s largest newbuild so far, Yno 302. The state-of-the-art-ship is jointly owned by Norway-based shipowner Island Offshore and US-based shipowner Edison Chouest Offshore.
Ulstein introduces the HX103 and HX104 designs, DP3 vessels with heavy-lift capability and large outreach combined with a large open deck space and accommodation for 350 and 500 people.
On Friday 28 February 2014, the offshore construction vessel ‘Polar Onyx’ was named at Ulstein Verft. The vessel is built for GC Rieber Shipping, and is chartered by Ceona for five years for deepwater projects offshore Brazil.
