During the Abu Dhabi 2019 IDEX, Fincantieri and ADSB announced that they have reached an agreement in principle to explore future forms of industrial and market cooperation in the UAE shipbuilding segment.
The keel laying ceremony of “Silver Moon”, the second of three new ultra-luxury cruise ships that Fincantieri is building for Silversea Cruises took place at the Ancona yard. The vessel will enter the ship owner’s fleet in 2020.
A special event took place at the Monfalcone shipyard: Fincantieri and Princess Cruises, celebrated three construction milestones of three “Royal” class ships, currently in different construction phases.
“Scarlet Lady”, the first of four ships which Virgin Voyages ordered to Fincantieri, was floated out at the shipyard in Genoa Sestri Ponente. Interior fittings will now begin, leading the ship to its delivery, scheduled at the beginning of 2020.
“Seven Seas Splendor” was launched at the Ancona shipyard., She is the second super luxury cruise ship that Fincantieri is building for Regent Seven Seas Cruises, a brand of the NCLH. The delivery is scheduled for 2020.
“Viking Jupiter”, the sixth cruise ship which Fincantieri built for Viking, has been delivered at the shipyard in Ancona.
The Lockheed Martin-led shipbuilding team launched Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) 19, the future USS St. Louis into the Menominee River at the Fincantieri Marinette Marine Shipyard.
Holland America Line took delivery of Nieuw Statendam today, Nov. 29, 2018, officially making it the 15th ship in the fleet.
