AET’s commitment to moving energy in an increasingly responsible and eco-friendly way is evidenced, first, through its support for LNG as a transitional fuel.
AET, a leading owner and operator of maritime transportation assets and specialised services, completed its first-ever LNG bunkering in the US, working in coordination with Shell to refuel the LNG dual-fuel Aframax tanker Pacific Ruby outside Port Canaveral in Florida.
AET and operators, took delivery of Eagle Pilar, a new Suezmax second generation DP2 Shuttle Tanker which has been purpose built for long-term charter to Brazil Shipping I Limited, a wholly owned indirect subsidiary of Royal Dutch Shell plc.
ABS has awarded AET the SMART (INF) Notation for its 152,700 DWT DP2 shuttle tanker, Eagle Passos, which was built and delivered by Samsung Heavy Industries Co., Ltd. (SHI).
The nominations for the new look Nor-Shipping Next Generation Ship Award have been revealed, with Yara Birkeland, the world’s first fully autonomous ship, battling against an array of innovative tanker concepts from AET, Teekay and Sovcomflot.
