Video: Containership Tina I Collides With Grounded Iranian Vessel
In a recent accident, Greek Containership Tina I collided with a grounded Iranian container vessel Shahraz off Batam, Indonesia. The 2004-built 67270 dwt Tina 1 was sailing from Singapore to Jakarta with around 4000 TEUs.
Containership Shahraz ran aground about six months back near Batam after colliding with an Indonesian bulk carrier. The vessel suffered significant damage because of the accident.
According to reports, Tina I has not experienced any leaks and oil spills.
The cause of the accident is not known and the investigation is still going on. There are no reports of injury to the crew as the ship remains grounded.
