Two Russian Sailors Died Off Varna, Cause Of Death Remains A Mystery
The local Prosecutor’s office of Appeal stated on Monday that two Russian sailors died off the coast of Varna on Monday under mysterious circumstances.
Per the information received, they were 32 and 58 years old and part of the ship’s crew sailing under the flag of the Republic of Belize and passing near Varna.
The Varna District Prosecutor’s Office is carrying out preliminary proceedings and investigating the case of death by negligence. However, according to the evidence they would gather in the investigation, the case might be transferred to the Varna District Prosecutor’s Office.
The incident happened on 3rd July 2023. A forensic examination will establish the exact cause of death of the two sailors onboard the vessel. Meanwhile, the authorities are interrogating other crew members as well.
