Started off as a dream by three young entrepreneurs, the platform claims to have tied up with some of the most trusted Ship Suppliers to provide a hassle-free, quick and convenient solution for all maritime products in India and across the globe.
The Co-founders, Dhruv Sawhney, Sunny Bagla and VivekSahi, have been friends for more than a decade and looking at the market potential, it dint take them long to quit their jobs and pursue their entrepreneurial aspirations.
Both Dhruv and Vivek were sailingas Chief Officers with reputed Shipping companies while Sunny was working with a corporate firm, managing their taxation.
ShipsKart seeks to cater to the needs of the industry by ensuring timely deliveries with a few clicks by replacing complex software and endless wait to receive stores on vessels. Smooth operations and Cost efficiency are the two highlights of ShipsKart as it creates an online marketplace bringing both vendors and vessels on the same platform.
In February 2018, ShipsKart was selected by PortXL (Partners of The Port of Rotterdam and Ernst & Young) as one of the most innovative Start ups in the Maritime industry from around the globe.PortXL has invested in ShipsKart to help strengthen its footprint in Europe, with Rotterdam as the base.
ShipsKart is also recognized as a Startup by the Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion, Government of India.
