Ship With 13 Sailors Stuck Near Wadrai Coast Due To Engine Malfunction, Rescue Underway

A cargo ship named C Siddhi was on its way to the Hazira Port in Gujarat from Mumbai the Port when it got stuck in the Arabian Sea close to Palghar’s Satpati owing to an unforeseen technical malfunction, per reports from TV9 Bharatvarsh.

13 individuals were on the vessel.

The district administration is in place to rescue those stranded on the ship. Besides, the Port Trust has been informed, and their second ship is also on its way, as well as the Customs and the Coast Guard. The district’s SP also arrived at the seashore, and they also set sail to go near the Coastal Police Ship.

Earlier in 2019, owing to solid and windy weather in the Arabian Sea, a giant cargo vessel from Gujarat reportedly fell adrift and became wedged between rocks close to Maharashtra’s Vangaon village, per officials. Per the authorities, some fishermen mentioned the cargo ship.

Captain VV Pillai mentioned that the ship “MV Nanda Aparna” set sail last week with a massive steel load from Gujarat’s Hazira to Maharashtra’s Alibaug. Per the police, the vessel had become disoriented owing to broken propellers. Per Captain Pillai, the 1,478-ton commerce ship is nearly 78 meters long and five meters wide.
