Russian Navy Warships Tracked In English Channel, Royal Navy & RAF On High Alert
The Royal Navy stated that submarine-hunting frigates, along with the P8 Poseidon patrol aircraft, tracked the movements of Russia’s Navy in the English Channel, North Atlantic, and North Sea.
On Thursday, the British Royal Navy mentioned that its patrol aircraft and warships tracked an array of Russian vessels near its waters in what it refers to as a concerted monitoring mission.
The Royal Navy mentioned that the submarine-hunting frigates, along with the P8 Poseidon patrol aircraft, tracked the movements of Russia’s Navy in that Channel, North Atlantic, and North Sea, without mentioning when the operation occurred.
The Russian vessels included corvettes Grad and Boikiy, the cruiser Marshal Ustinov, the destroyer Severomorsk belonging to the Udaloy class, and others, per the statement.
Britain is one of the key defence suppliers for Ukraine, and Russia has reportedly condemned the support Britain has extended to Kyiv.
