Surpassing another record at Adani Mundra Port, on September 4, 2016, 8,307 TEUs were handled from MV MSC Fillippa in 55.5 hours with a GCR of 28.31/hour. The container team was thus successful in surpassing the previous record of 7,504 TEUs from a single vessel achieved in November 2015. Both export and import containers were handled, with the vessel turning around in just over 57 hours.

Mr Ennarasu Karunesan, CEO of Mundra and Tuna Port, APSEZ, said this was another feather in the cap of the CT team of APSEZ, achieving the landmark of highest-ever productivity, thereby demonstrating the commitment of APSEZ to its customers and the ex-im trade in the region. He added that the overall operational efficiencies will be consistently maintained to ensure quick turnaround of vessels. He congratulated MSC, the customers, stakeholders, service providers and the entire CT team of APSEZ on the memorable occasion, the release said.

This impressive feat is the latest testimonial to the world class efficiency levels achieved by the team at Mundra, who, with their dedicated efforts, have been at the forefront of Adani Ports’ quest to promote trade in India and provide world class infrastructure to the ex-im fraternity, the release stressed.
