MSC World Europa Makes Its Successful Maiden Call To Valletta
The MSC World Europa reached the port of Valletta on 19 April as part of the vessel’s inaugural seven-night West Mediterranean itinerary.
Angelo Capurro, the executive director associated with MSC Cruises, mentioned that Malta has always been an integral part of operations for about 25 years, and they have brought hundreds of thousands of holidaymakers to visit the gorgeous island.
In the future, they will continue bringing more guests to Valletta, and they are proud that MSC World Europa, an exclusive and ultramodern metropolis at sea, is going to be a weekly visitor for the next 18 months (at least) at the port of registry.
MSC Cruises welcomed about 200 passengers on the MSC World Europa, including eminent government officials, the Minister for Tourism (Malta) Clayton Bartolo, along with local tour operators and agents.
The vessel, which can accommodate about 6,762 guests, will be visiting Malta’s capital city every week all through summer this year, winter 2023 to 2024, and summer 2024 while it sails on its seven-night voyages to Italy, France, and Spain.
Stephen Xuereb, the COO of Global Ports Holding and the CEO of Valletta Cruise Port said that they are proud to welcome yet another MSC Cruises vessel for the first time ever to their scenic harbour, the MSC World Europa.
The Valletta Cruise Port is going to host her in 2023 on a further 36 calls as part of her inaugural Mediterranean season till May next year. Throughout next year, she is going to call Malta on additional 52 occasions.
He added that the key cruise line calling Valletta is MSC Cruises, and it is the firm’s pleasure to be collaborating with MSC, a relationship that has, over the years, left a mark on the entire cruise industry.
On behalf of Global Ports Holding and Valletta Cruise Port, he congratulated MSC Cruises on its achievements and said that he is looking forward to years of fruitful cooperation.
The World Europa is the greatest vessel in the cruise line’s fleet. It is also the first one to be operating on liquefied natural gas (LNG).
