Indian Navy’s First Training Squadron Warships Arrive At Port Klang, Malaysia

As part of the Indian Navy’s log-range deployment in Southeast Asia, the vessels of the First Training Squadron (1TS)-ICGS Sarathi, INS Tir, and INS Sujata are visiting Malaysia’s Port Klang.

These activities are now being undertaken by the 1TS and cover several professional and community interactions, training activities, sports fixtures, cross-deck visits with the personnel of the Royal Malaysian Navy, and other vessels open for the visit of school students.

The 1TS’ deployment is aimed at introducing trainees to maritime, military, and sociopolitical links of India with the friendly nations lying along the Indian Ocean Region and enhancing bilateral activities between the Navies of the two countries.
