High Cruise Demand At Port Tampa Bay Brings Back Renovated Cruise Ship
As cruise business hits all-time records at Port Tampa Bay, the recently renovated Carnival Paradise returns to year-round cruise service today. After a month-long dry dock, extensive upgrades to the Carnival Paradise include a new water park, restaurants, bars, and staterooms.
The multi-million dollar makeover features the “WaterWorks Aqua Park”, an all-ages water park with a 300 foot-long twister water slide and two 82 foot-long racing slides. Carnival Paradise’s additions also include four new themed bars and restaurants including “Guy’s Burger Joint”, and 38 new staterooms.
On Monday, March 26th – Carnival Paradise departs on a five-day Caribbean cruise to Cozumel and Grand Cayman – part of the ship’s year-round sailings from Port Tampa Bay that also include four-day cruises to Cozumel and five-day cruises to Cozumel and Mahogany Bay (Roatan), Key West or Grand Cayman. The ship also offers four to eight-day cruises to Cuba featuring day-long and overnight calls in Havana, as well as visits to ports throughout the Caribbean.
Last month, Port Tampa Bay twice shattered cruise passenger records with nearly 23,000 passengers in and out of the Port in one weekend.
