HawkEye 360, a radio frequency (RF) geospatial intelligence and a leading producer of defence technology, was awarded a contract worth $12.25 million from the Pacific Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC).
The purpose of this contract is to use SeaVision, an international data-sharing platform that the United States and its allies use to improve maritime domain awareness, to share satellite radio frequency data, analytics, and training with partner countries in Southeast Asia and the Pacific Islands.
It is a result of HawkEye 360’s ongoing partnership with the Indo-Pacific Partnership for Maritime Domain Awareness (IPMDA), an initiative supported by Australia, India, Japan, the United States, and other members of the Quad.
The program’s main objective is to promote an open, stable, and prosperous Indo-Pacific by offering technology, training, and insights pertaining to maritime activities throughout the Indo-Pacific region.
HawkEye 360 is dedicated to assisting regional partner countries, NIWC Pacific, and the IPMDA program in their endeavours to guarantee stability and prosperity by employing mutual awareness of the maritime domain.
Currently, HawkEye 360 is operating on a constellation of 21 satellites intended to identify, describe, and geolocate radio frequency signals from different emitters used for security, communication, and navigation.
The company plans to grow its constellation to 60 satellites, arranged into 20 clusters of three satellites each, to meet the growing demand for RF Intelligence.
