FLS Projects Simplify Cargo Issues With A Single 390 Ton Multi-Floating Unit Ship
The cargo had been collected from Vietnam’s Halong Bay port. A 163-tonne feed barge and a 108-tonne Aquacat workboat had successfully been delivered to Port Nelson in New Zealand.
Besides, a second Aquacat workboat, two 58-tonne dumb barges, and a 22-tonne work vessel had been delivered to the Bluff Harbour.
FLS mentioned that its stowage plan to fit the six boats on a vessel helped optimize the shipping time and saved the client’s costs.
The loading operation included divers to aid in the hook-up of the cargo.
Each barge and boat needed bespoke handling resolutions, from crane settings to securing and lashing.
The vessels are expected to be deployed in activities associated with the aquaculture industry. FLS is one of the members of the XLProjects (XLP) network.
