Fishing Vessel On Fire In The North Pacific, 48 Crew Members Evacuated On Life Rafts
A squid and long-liner fishing vessel named the HSIANG CHING reportedly caught on fire on 6 November in the North Pacific, approximately 250 nm east of the Kuril islands.
About 48 crew members went into two life rafts nearest the distressed vessel. A Chinese fishing vessel came to assist and picked up the individuals using life rafts.
Later, it was discovered that one fisherman had been missing, the search did not yield results, and he was not found.
